Super Seconds Saturday - Nicht 100% aber dennoch schön

Today I want to share a project with you which was initiated by Sophie Greenwood @InkAndBear. Soon we will all be looking for Christmas presents and I am pretty sure your budget is not limitless (neither is mine). And that is why I want to share the #SuperSecondsSaturday with you.

Lots of independent makers and businesses (just like AtelierMarie-Lucienne) have seconds or misprints that did not turn out perfectly. We are pretty particular about what gets sent out, even though a lot of these seconds are close to perfect. So, on Super Seconds Saturday many of these independent makers take the chance to sell these seconds at a discounted rate. And for you it is the opportunity to pick up bargains of your favourite indie-business.

So, save the date to pick up bargains, because once they're gone, they're gone! If you follow the hashtag #SuperSecondsSaturday you will be able to find a lot of indie makers and the near-perfect products they are going to sell on Saturday the 26th of September, 10am BST – 11am on the continent.

BTW: I will be selling hand-dyed yarn that is perfectly all right, but of which the colourways are not 100% what I was aiming for. So, these skeins did not make it into The Scottish Collection nor in the shop, though you might see no flaw in them. Being a perfectionist is quite a burden, but for you it is the perfect chance to pick up a bargain!

I would also like to introduce some of the other participants of this great event. Maybe you will discover one or the other Christmas present in their seconds. You will find jewellery, prints, potters, soaps, candles, home-ware, yarn, pins, badges, and lots more.

As mentioned before, I will offer some hand-dyed wool at a bargain price (a 35% discount) on my website (which will launch on Saturday!). It is high quality wool, whose gradients are top notch but not what I had in mind. On top of that I will smuggle some leftover stock into the sale. So, Saturday, 26th September, at 10am (BCT) it starts!

Liebe Freunde,

Heute möchte ich dir ein Projekt vorstellen, welches von Sophie Greenwood @InkAndBear initiiert wurde. Und da wir alle bald wieder nach Weihnachtsgeschenken suchen werden und ich bin mir ziemlich sicher, dass euer Budget nicht unbegrenzt ist (genausowenig wie meins), möchte ich euch den #SuperSecondsSaturday vorstellen.

Viele unabhängige Hersteller und Unternehmen (genau wie AtelierMarie-Lucienne) haben „Ware zweiter Wahl“, Ware, die nicht 100% perfekt ist. Perfektionisten, die wir nun mal sind, kommt diese Ware nicht in den Verkauf, obwohl genaugenommen nichts an denen auszusetzen ist.

Am Super-Zweiter-Wahl-Samstag werden viele unabhängige Hersteller die Möglichkeit nutzen, ihre zweite Wahl Produkten zu einem ermäßigten Preis zu verkaufen. Und somit hast du die Chance ein Schnäppchen deines Lieblings-Indie-unternehmen zu ergattern. Sophie hat übrigens einen Buyers' Guide auf IGTV aufgenommen, den du hier ansehen kannst (ist auf English).

Safe the Date, um Schnäppchen zu machen - denn wer zuerst kommt, malt zuerst! Auf Instagram kannst du den Hashtag #SuperSecondsSaturday folgen und so viele der Indie-Herstellern und deren nahezu perfekten Produkte kennen lernen. Am Samstag, den 26. September, 10 Uhr (in Großbritanien) und 11 Uhr hier in Deutschland geht es los.

Übrigens: Ich werde die handgefärbte Wolle verkaufen, die zwar völlig in Ordnung ist, aber deren Farbverlauf nicht 100%ig der war, den ich anstrebte. Deshalb hat diese Wolle es nicht in der Schottland-Kollektion oder in meinem Shop geschafft (obwohl sie absolut OK ist). Perfektionismus ist manchmal eine schwere Bürde aber für euch ergibt sich daraus die perfekte Gelegenheit, ein Schnäppchen zu machen!

Heute möchte ich obendrein ein paar der anderen Teilnehmer an diesen tollen Event vorstellen. Vielleicht entdeckt ihr das eine oder andere Weihnachtsgeschenk in deren Auswahl. Es gibt eine Riesenauswahl an Schmuck, Drucke, Töpferware, Seifen, Kerzen, Haushaltswaren, Garn, Pins und vieles mehr.

Wie bereits erwähnt werde ich einige handgefärbte Farbverläufe zu einem Schnäppchenpreis (35% Rabatt) auf meiner Webseite anbieten (P.S.: Die geht erst Samtagsmorgen online), hochwertige Wolle, deren Farbverläufe Top sind, aber nicht dem entsprechen, was ich mir vorgestellt hatte. Obendrein schmuggele ich ein paar Restposten in den Verkauf mit hinein. Also, Samstag, den 26. September, um 11 Uhr (CET) geht es los!
