Episode 4 + C2C Fox Cushion / C2C Fuchskissen

Dear friends,

🐑🐰Happy Easter!🌷🐣

You might know by now that I've got a soft spot for foxes. Even though I have, you never could have told by my crochet, could you? That's why I decided on making a fox cushion approx. three weeks ago.

The hubby and I like to watch „Kitchen Impossible“ on Sunday evenings and I need some mindless crochet to keep my hands busy while watching the telly.
I didn't like what the first version looked like, so I frogged it, but I was still adamant on having a fox cushion. Out of the blue I thought of Carolyn's (aka The Purple Poncho) C2C video-tutorial and that's why I hastily drew this pattern:

The cushion turned out pretty large (as you can see in Episode 4) and the fox' nose wasn't that good either, so I made version N°3:

And as I've already got some real cute fabric to sew the backs of the cushions from (see podcast), I'll soon have two lovely fox cushions!

As to Episode 4 of the Atelier Marie-Lucienne Podcast:

In this episode I talk to you about the fox cushions and about version N°2 of the Sunshiny Day Pullover. And after watching the podcast you'll know all about my first attempts on dyeing wool too... Enjoy watching!

Liebe Freunde,

🐑🐰Frohe Ostern!🌷🐣

  6. I am so glad that you managed to fix the zooming in and out noise the camera made and I love you new podcast. You are like a breath of fresh air and I don't think you need a list of things you have to say. You manage your train of thought quite well :)
I've wanted for so long to try the c2c crochet but I don't think it will happen anytime soon; your fox cushions are adorable!
Another thing that I have longed to do myself is dye yarn - yours turned out tremendously beautiful! At least I can feast my eyes on those beautiful skeins of yours!

    1. It took me approx. 2 hours to figure out how to turn off the auto-focus. As a result quite a few takes were "out of focus", but recording those anew is much better than that annoying noise and the constant in-and-out of focus from episodes 2 and 3!
Truth be told: The first time I thought about dyeing yarn was 2015ish... So it "only" took me three years to actually dye some yarn but now I'd rather do nothing but...
As to C2C: It's all about waiting till the right project comes along really...
      Have a lovely week,
      Marjan

  7. Trotz Hühnerraubs mag ich Füchse noch immer. Vorallem in so schöner
Wolloptik sind sie absolut Haustiertauglich ;) :)
