Bohemian Rhapsody...*

I honestly thought I wouldn't get round to writing a blogpost this weekend (either), though it was scheduled (along with quite a few other things, but...)! 

 

A few weeks ago my laptop suddenly slowed down drastically. I thought it was due to the amount of data on it, and I did think it might be a good idea to transfer some of it onto an external hard disk drive, but...

To cut a long story short: I'm writing on my husband's laptop, because my trusty and beloved laptop broke down on me after 8.5 years of faithful service. My husband's has none of the features I normally use for editing pictures, etc., so bear with me...

Frustrated because of my laptop and because of other things not turning out the way I want them to, on Thursday I was desperate for some bright, vibrant and happy colours. And that's why I decided to (finally) finish a very colourful UFO...

Last year (I think it was March) I made the front of the cushion in small granny squares, but as I was indecisive towards the back (crochet? Denim? Fabric?) at the time, it eventually was stuffed into a box.

I retrieved it and finished the cushion yesterday afternoon (before I made yet another pair of – commissioned – ladybirds).

As my husband's laptop doesn't read SD-cards, I had to take the pictures with my mobile and transfer them via email, so the quality is lacking... Still better than no pictures at all, really...

So, I'm off sulking again now... I'll keep in touch!

P.S.: I might not be visiting other blogs frequently for a while – that's not because I stopped following you though!!!!

ich hatte mich schon damit abgefunden, auch dieses Wochenende keinen Blogpost schreiben zu können, auch wenn ich es fest eingeplant hatte (zusammen mit einige anderen Sachen, aber...)!

Vor ein paar Wochen wurde mein Laptop plötzlich wesentlich langsamer. Ich schob es auf der Menge an Daten, die auf der Festplatte schlummerten, und dachte mir schon, dass es mal an der Zeit wäre, die mal auf der externen Festplatte zu schieben, aber...

Lange Rede, kurzer Sinn: Ich schreibe auf dem Laptop meines Mannes, weil mein zuverlässiges und geliebtes Läppi nach 8,5 Jahre treue Dienste den Geist aufgegeben hat. Und das Läppi meines Mannes hat keines der Programme, die ich für Bildbearbeitung, schreiben, etc. verwende, also...

Frustriert (und traurig) wegen meines Läppis und weil auch einige andere Sachen nicht so laufen, wie ich es gerne hätte, war mir am Donnerstag nach kräftige, leuchtende und fröhliche Farben. Und deshalb entschied ich mich dazu, ein farbenfrohes UFO (endlich mal) fertig zu stellen...

Die Vorderseite des Kissens hatte ich bereits letztes Jahr (März???) gemacht, in den kleinen Granny Squares, aber unentschlossen, wie die Rückseite aussehen soll (gehäkelt? Jeans? Stoff?), landete das Ganze in einer Kiste.

Ich habe es wieder hervorgeholt und gestern Nachmittag fertiggestellt (bevor ich ein weiteres Paar Marienkäfer – Auftragsarbeit – machte).

Da das Läppi meines Mannes keine SD-Karten liest (!?), habe ich die Bilder mit meinem Handy gemacht und per Email übertragen. Sie sind also nicht sonderlich gelungen, aber immer noch besser, als gar keine Bilder, nicht...?

Nun ja, ich gehe dann mal wieder Frust schieben... Ich halte euch auf dem Laufenden...

P.S.: Kann sein, dass ich in nächster Zeit etwas seltener dazu komme, andere Blogs zu lesen... Das ist aber nicht, weil ich euch nicht mehr mag oder folge!!!!
